Reynard Mills – New Planning Application

A third application has been submitted to develop the Reynard Mills site off Windmill Road.  The latest plans are for 831 residents, 229 flats and houses, with 6- and 5- storey tower blocks.  This is still a massive overdevelopment of the site, which will lead to intolerable traffic and parking pressures on the surrounding streets.  You can read more about the concerns over this new proposal here.

A very large number of residents objected to the earlier applications.  If you do not want to see this overdevelopment go ahead, it is vital you send your objection to Hounslow Council.  Many residents who have objected in the past are confused by the number of applications and think that they have already objected to the latest scheme when they have actually objected to an earlier version.  Objections to the earlier schemes do not count this time because they were different planning applications.  However, you can repeat your previous concerns in your objection, but you must refer to the new application.

Objections should be emailed to:  max.smith@hounslow.gov.uk and need to quote references:  P/2012/2147 and 01217/C/P38.

This application is completely separate from the planning appeal, which is the developer’sattempt to overturn the Council’s refusal of last winter’s even larger “version two” scheme.  The appeal will take place in Hounslow in November.
