Local Transport Plan Consultation

In September 2013 EFRA responded to Ealing Council’s consultation on its Transport Plan 2014-17.  Our response focused on:

• Replacing the Plough Junction with a roundabout.
• The cycle hub at Northfields Underground Station and the need to allow for continued increase in cycle use.
• Pavements and gutters at bus stops, continuing our ongoing request supported by our ward councillors, for work to eliminate the puddles around bus stops in Northfield Avenue.
• Weymouth Avenue junction with Little Ealing Lane, where residents have mentioned to us the poor visibility for southbound vehicles seeking to enter Little Ealing Lane.
• Chandos Avenue one-way exit into South Ealing Road, where residents tell us that they continue to see motorists travelling the wrong way along Chandos Avenue, suggesting the junction be reconfigured along the lines of the Northfield Road exit into Northfield Avenue.
• Windmill Road junction safety from Murray and Carlyle Roads.
• Rat-running, asking for plans to discourage rat-running in our area and that funds be allocated to provide a comprehensive term-time survey of peak-hour rat-running.
• Extension of bus routes, drawing attention to our earlier response on proposed changes to TfL bus routes.
