An American President in Ealing

Ealing Civic Society is holding a joint meeting with U3A (University of the Third Age).

Paul Fitzmaurice will talk about John Quincy Adams who was the 6th president of the United States and his connections with Ealing. Whilst Adams was American minister to Britain from 1815 to 1817 he and his family lived at Little Boston, a house that was situated on the northern corner of the Ride and Windmill Road on the borders of Brentford and Ealing.

Local history web site

Following the success of researching and publishing the book "Little Ealing A Walk Through History", the group of EFRA members have created a new web site that will present information about the Little Ealing area.

The web site now contains the first project - a history of Little Boston House which is famous for once being the residence of John Quincy Adams, the 6th president of the USA.
