Reynard Mills proposed development

As outlined in our spring newsletter, EFRA opposed an application for development of Reynard Mills, the former BBC archive site off Windmill Road. The proposal was for 275 homes in massed blocks totally out of keeping with the surrounding area. The impact would have been felt on parking, transport and other local facilities.
Despite displaying a revised scheme at St. Faith's in June, the owners of the site have now appealed against Hounslow Council's refusal to grant the original planning permission. The decision will be made by a government appointed Planning Inspector. The Inspector has asked that residents should email or write to him setting out their concerns. It is vital that as many residents as possible send in comments about this proposed over-development.
If you do not want to see this huge development go ahead, please object by email to: robert.cook@pins.gsi.gov.uk, quoting reference 2177852 - Reynard Mills, TW8 9LY.
This leaflet, which we are distributing to households in the affected area, gives more details and explains why the proposal would have a detrimental effect on our local area.
Responses must be received by the Planning Inspector no later than 17 August 2012.
