Private Rented Sector Housing and Anti-Social Behaviour
We have received notification of a public meeting being held by the council for Residents and Tenants’ Organisations about implications arising from the growth of the private rented sector. The council says:
"Ealing Council is looking to explore issues surrounding the growth in the private rented sector, property conditions and anti-social behaviour. We are holding a meeting where you can share your views with the Council and discuss the issues, and you would be welcome to attend.
"This is a specially convened meeting which will provide you with the opportunity to hear a presentation from Ealing Council regarding the private rented sector and anti-social behaviour. You will also have the opportunity to share your views on how we can move forward together in order to address these issues in the London Borough of Ealing. Opinion Research Services (ORS) will be facilitating the public meeting on behalf of the Council in order to maintain an independent approach to the discussions.
"You are welcome to send as many representatives from your organisation as you wish; however, to help us manage the arrangements it would be helpful if you would confirm your attendance by telephoning ORS on 01792 824737 or by emailing: EalingPRSH@ors.org.uk by 28th March 2014.
"We also urge you to share your views on this issue in our online questionnaire which is available until 13th April 2014. This can be found at the following web address www.ealing.gov.uk/PRSH."
EFRA is considering sending a representative to the meeting. If you would like to attend, please contact us. The questionnaire is available for completion by anyone over the age of 16, not just representatives of organisations.
There will be a meeting the following day for landlords and letting agents.
