Orion Park: Bike Training Facility

Cranmer Avenue Snooker Hall

The council turned down the latest application to overdevelop this site.

The proposals were out of keeping with this residential side street and were equivalent to a householder constructing a two-storey extension in the front garden with full-height front windows and Juliet balconies facing directly into the houses on the opposite side of the street.

Assyrian Centre in South Ealing Road

EFRA commented on a slightly revised application to redevelop the Assyrian Centre in South Ealing Road, just outside EFRA's area.  We do not usually comment on matters beyond our borders but it is a local landmark and the scale of the proposal has implications for the amenity of our members and their neighbours.  Our objection, submitted to Ealing Council in November 2013, repeats the concerns set out in our earlier objection and contains expanded comments on transport, servicing, parking and the applicant’s desire for a permanent licence.

Reynard Mills : New Proposals

The commercial development arm of Notting Hill Housing recently bought the Reynard Mills site, conditional on obtaining planning permission for housing.

It will be unveiling its proposals, which we have heard will include a mix of affordable and market housing, at drop-in sessions on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
