Planning Applications

One of the most important of EFRA’s activities is to monitor, and respond to consultations on, the larger planning applications in our area.

We discuss these applications with the residents who are most closely affected and also assist them with their personal submissions to the Council’s planners.

EFRA is not opposed to developments but our submissions are informed by the view that the low rise and low density nature of our essentially Edwardian residential neighbourhood should be preserved.

In the last few months EFRA has commented on the following Planning Applications:

  • Little Ealing Primary School Expansion,
  • Addition of an extra storey on top of Pickering House, in Windmill Road,
  • Redevelopment of the Snooker Hall in Cranmer Avenue

We have also:

  • Objected to the unauthorised construction of a ‘cage’ on the forecourt at Northfields Underground Station,
  • Raised concerns over the use of the building opposite the Library as a hostel and shops,
  • Submitted detailed responses to the Council’s consultation on Ealing’s local planning guidelines.

Please contact us if there is a local planning issue or concern you would like to discuss.
